Farmers markets opening throughout the Valley in coming weeks

Boise Farmers Market was the first to open for the season. It is held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 10th and Grove streets. 345-9287.

Next up is The Capital City Public Market, open Saturdays starting April 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 8th Street and surrounding blocks. 345-3499.

• North End Organic Nursery, 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, starting May 6, 2350 W. Hill Road. 389-4769.

• Boise VA Medical Center, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, starting May 27. 422-1242.

• Eagle, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, starting April 19, Heritage Park. 939-6813.

• Nampa, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, starting April 26, 14th Ave. and Front St. 461-4807.

• Mountain Home, 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, starting May 3, Railroad Park. 587-3134.

• Kuna, 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, starting May 10, Veterans Memorial Park, 201 W. Main St. 922-5929.

• Caldwell, 3-7 p.m. Wednesdays, starting May 14, Blaine and 7th streets. 571-3474.

• Emmett, 3-7 p.m. Wednesdays, starting June 4; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, starting June 7, Blaser Park. 989-6204.
