Idaho's average hourly wage slipped four-tenths of a percentage point in 2013 to $18.67 an hour in 2013, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That wage was 83.6 percent of the national average wage for all occupations.
Idaho's national rank for average wage fell from fifth lowest in 2012 to fourth lowest last year.
Idaho's median wage — or the point at which half the workers make more and half make less — was $14.68 an hour, falling from eighth lowest to sixth lowest.
The highest-employing sector on the report — office and administrative support with more than 100,000 workers — had an average wage of $14.11 and a median wage of $10.88.
