Letter: Obamacare

April 2, 2014

To force people to buy a product against their will is not freedom, but slavery. Our system of government was based upon checks and balances, and it is time for the people to exercise theirs. No one can claim our right to buy or not to buy, whatever name they use, be it federal or state legislature, court, police, president or potentate can lawfully force you to buy some product.

To resist this force requires the people ultimately to claim their right, and exercise it, by not buying. Rights not used are lost. For those who want the product but do not want to be forced to buy, simply purchase whatever you want and do not let the government know.

The real issue is, do we value freedom or the alternative? Slavery only produces poverty and injustice, but don't forget it comes with a great cost: "Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Resist the communistic schemes of Barack Obama's health care scam.
