A 22-year-old man was arrested Monday in the Garden City Public Library while he used library wifi to access the internet on a laptop that had been reported stolen from a home a short time earlier, Garden City Police report.

Cameron Shane Gulley was booked into the Ada County Jail on two felony charges, burglary and possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police indicated Gulley was homeless, but the Ada County Jail lists him as a Boise resident.

Police believe Gulley watched a woman leave a residence in the 8800 block of River Beach Lane and then entered the home, unaware the woman’s husband was still inside. The intruder took a laptop and other property from the home.

Police were quickly notified and searched the area before finding Gulley and the missing Apple laptop at the library. Police said they found some methamphetamine and paraphernalia on the suspect when they arrested him. He was booked into the Ada County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
