Regence BlueShield of Idaho gives $100,000 donation

March 28, 2014

The donation was given to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho. The Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home away from home for children of ill or injured children receiving treatment at Boise medical facilities.

Regence named Ronald McDonald House as a Community Partner Organization for 2014 as part of the donation. Regence provides funding and volunteer support to its partner organizations.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho Executive Director Mindy Plumlee said in a press release that the donation would help the organization serve children and their families in times of need.

"As much as we appreciate the financial support from Regence, we are so thankful for all its employees' involvement and volunteer hours they give to help our families and children," Plumlee said.
