Spring skiing anyone? Storm dumps 4 inches of snow on Bogus, 7 on Brundage

Spring storms are bringing rain to the Treasure Valley and dumping new powder in the mountains.

Boise received about .11 inches of rain Wednesday and early Thursday, while Bogus Basin got about 4 inches of new snow. Brundage hit the jackpot with 7 inches.

Today will be about the same, with a 90 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Another tenth of an inch is expected to fall in Boise today.

Since the water year began Oct. 1, 7.58 inches has been recorded at the Boise Airport. That's ahead of the norm of 7.04 inches — so we're a solid half inch ahead of normal.

Today will be cloudy and overcast in the Boise area.

"We probably won't see the sun for a couple days," said Bill Wojcik, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service. He said Saturday will be an especially wet day.
