VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PLANT SAGEBRUSH

The planting is being coordinated by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game through their volunteer program on March 29 and April 5. The agency needs at least 50 volunteers each day to help plant sagebrush and bitterbrush seedlings to speed the recovery of wildlife habitat in portions of last year's Elk and Pony Complex fires east of Boise and north of Mountain Home.

Volunteers can sign up by contacting Young at 327-7095 or at Michael.Young@idfg.idaho.gov. Additional volunteer information is available at fishandgame.idaho.gov and then click on the volunteer tab. Transportation and planting tools are provided by the agency.

Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the Greenbelt parking lot behind the Tavern at Bown Crossing. For more information, contact Pam Conley, 869-0337 or pam_conley@q.com.
