The Ada County coroner has finished an autopsy on a 59-year-old Boise man who died near an apartment complex on Saturday.

The report concluded that he died from a cut to his neck. No foul play is suspected, and his death is being investigated as a suicide. In general, the Statesman does not identify victims of suicide.

Prior to the release of the coroner's report, Boise police said there was no public safety threat connected with the man's death.

The body was found Saturday night at the Westside Place Apartments, off of Five Mile Road and Fairview Avenue.

Residents of the apartment complex and others were concerned that the man's death was untimely, possible the result of a fatal wound inflicted by someone else. Several spoke to the Statesman about the incident on Sunday.
