Boise State men's tennis beats Montana, Fresno State

BOISE — The No. 23 Broncos two matches Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center, beating Montana 6-1, then Fresno State 5-2. Andy Bettles, Garrett Patton, Brendan McClain, Brian Foley and Abe Hewko won singles matches against the Grizzlies, and Nathan Sereke, Thomas Tenreiro, McClain and Foley won against the Bulldogs. The Broncos (16-3, 2-0 Mountain West) have won six matches in a row. McClain, who is on a 10-match winning streak, became the first Bronco to earn 20 wins this season as he improved to 20-6.

BOISE STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Broncos fell to Cal State Northride 4-3 at Northride, Calif. Sandy Vo and Sammie Watson won singles matches for Boise State (8-7).

BOISE STATE SOFTBALL: The Broncos beat Fresno State 8-1 in Boise. Tara Glover went 3-for-4, drove in four runs and scored two more for Boise State (17-13, 2-1 MW).

COLLEGE OF IDAHO TRACK & FIELD: Jasmine Hurd won three events (100 meters, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles) and Hillary Holt won two events (800 meters, 1,500) to help the Coyotes win the Eastern Oregon Team Challenge on Saturday in Hermiston, Ore.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE TRACK & FIELD: The Crusaders won 10 events on their way to a second-place finish at the Eastern Oregon Team Challenge on Saturday in Hermiston, Ore. Marie Smith set a school record in the women's 100-meter hurdles (14.81 seconds).
