Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho baseball rallies for split with Corban

SALEM, Ore. - Cole Mansanerez capped a three-run seventh inning with a two-RBI single to help the Coyotes claim a 3-2 victory following a 4-3 loss to the Warriors in Saturday's opener at Warrior Field. Mitch Viydo earned the win for College of Idaho (15-13, 6-6 NAIA West), going 6‚ innings to improve to 4-1.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO SOFTBALL: Southern Oregon (8-8, 7-1 Cascade Conference) swept the 15th-ranked Coyotes 6-2 and 2-0 at University Field in Ashland, Ore. Ashley Van Horne's third-inning triple in the opener drove in the only runs for C of I (12-8, 4-4).

NORTHWEST NAZARENE SOFTBALL: Simon Fraser (2-19, 2-10 GNAC) rallied for its first victories of the season with 3-2 (9 innings) and 8-5 wins at Halle Field in Nampa. Justine Callen had a pair of hits in the opener, and Shelby Johnson had two hits in the nightcap to lead NNU (7-16, 2-5).
