BRONCOS FALL IN WBI QUARTERFINALS Deanna Weaver scored 28 points, while Miquelle Askew and Brooke Pahukoa chipped in 10 points apiece, but the Boise State women's basketball team came up short, losing 80-59 to Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night in Nacogdoches, Texas. Boise State led by as many as 11 points in the first period and was up 34-31 at the half, but ran into foul trouble early. Weaver finished the night 11-of-20 from the floor, including five 3-pointers. She also had a team-high six rebounds. The loss ends Boise State's season at 18-14 overall. WRESTLING: SWARTZ SEVENTH AT NCAAS

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Jake Swartz won his final match at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, earning All-America accolades. Swartz picked up two takedowns and riding time en route to a 6-1 victory over Ophir Bernstein of Brown in the seventh-place match, and was awarded another point when Bernstein was penalized for stalling. Swartz was making his fourth appearance at the NCAA Championships, but this year's finish marked his first inside the top eight. The three-time defending Pac-12 champion at 184 pounds concludes his BSU career with a record of 91-30, going 17-3 in his final collegiate campaign.

SWIMMING AND DIVING: BRONCOS CONCLUDE NATIONALS

MINNEAPOLIS - On the final day of the NCAA Championships, Sam Wicks and Brittany Aoyama finished fourth and fifth in their respective heats of the 100-yard freestyle. Wicks (49.70 seconds) wound up 51st overall, while Aoyama (49.84) was 53rd. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Aoyama, Katelyn Martin, Jessica Bottelberghe and Wicks hit the touchpad in 3:18.10 for 23rd place.

GYMNASTS SECOND AT CONFERENCE FINALS

PROVO, Utah - Denver edged Boise State by .025 to win the inaugural Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championships. BSU's Ciera Perkins was named the MRGC Gymnast of the Year, while Diana Mejia snagged the Co-Freshman of the Year award. Perkins and Kelsey Morris tied for titles on the uneven bars, while Perkins earned an additional title on floor exercise and Morris earned the all-around title. Boise State's team total of 196.90 was the sixth-best in school history and a school record for conference title meet scores at Boise State.

SOFTBALL SERIES VS. FRESNO STATE TIED

BOISE - Fresno State scored 13 runs in the first inning and never looked back, routing the Broncos 24-4 in five innings at Dona Larsen Park. Fresno State's 24 runs are the most allowed by a Bronco team and set a Mountain West record. Boise State (16-13, 1-1 MW) had nine hits. Tara Glover was 2-for-3, while Jordan Kreiger went 2-for-2. The final game of the three-game series is set for 1 p.m. Sunday at Dona Larsen Park.

MEN'S TENNIS CRUISES PAST MARQUETTE

BOISE - The 23rd-ranked Broncos rolled the Golden Eagles 5-2 at the Appleton Tennis Center. Nathan Sereke, Garrett Patton, Toby Mitchell and Brian Foley won singles matches for the Broncos (14-3), who extended their win streak to four matches.
