Idaho colleges roundup: Two College of Idaho basketball players named All-Americans

CALDWELL - Taylor Pruett and Chakala Carthen were named NAIA Division II All-Americans this week. Both were third-team selections. Pruett averaged 15 points and eight rebounds a game, leading the men to a 28-6 record and a berth in the NAIA Championships. He is the first third-team All-American for the Coyotes since 1993. Carthen averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per game for the women, becoming the fourth C of I player to average a double-double for a season. She led the Cascade Conference with 19 double-doubles this year.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Mitch Kamstra was voted the GNAC Male Newcomer of the Year, Micah Spatz (Melba High) is the GNAC Male Freshman of the Year and Ali Silva (Nampa Christian High) is the GNAC Female Freshman of the Year.
