College of Idaho skier eighth in national giant slalom

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Junior Zach Shenk became the Coyotes' first men's alpine All-American since 2008 after a snowy competition at the USCSA Championships at Whiteface Mountain, site of the 1980 Winter Olympics. Also, C of I teammates McKinley Carbone finished sixth in the women's snowboard slopestyle and Micaela Martin placed 31st in the cross country 1.5k sprint.
