UPDATE: Police arrest suspect in stabbing of Boise man

Garden City Police arrested Shawn Marcum, 30, of Garden City in connection with a stabbing last weekend.

Police say they tracked him down at a motel in Downtown Boise early Thursday morning. He was leaving the motel with a female acquaintance, Faith Delgado, 25.

Marcum was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of aggravated battery and deadly weapon in commission of a crime. He's being held on $1 million bond.

Police say Delgado committed crimes after the alleged stabbing by Marcum, including destruction of key evidence and haboring a fugitive. She was also arrested and booked into the jail.

The stabbing was reported at 12:22 a.m. Saturday at 207 East 44th in Garden City. Responding officers found a 46-year-old Boise man who had been stabbed in the upper chest. Investigators identified Marcum as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

The victim has not been publicly identified, and his condition hasn't been released.
