Letter: House Bill HO458

March 12, 2014

I am disgusted by Idaho House Speaker Rep. Scott Bedke and Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Rich Wills. Both of these lawmakers were given a chance to save children’s lives in Idaho by giving House Bill HO458 a fair chance in the Legislature and granting a hearing. This bill would allow for prosecution of parents who choose to allow their children to die through medical neglect.

I am asking Idaho voters to take a close look at their representatives and decide if these are the people you want making decisions that could decide the fate of your children or grandchildren. Some of Idaho’s representatives have run on a pro-life platform and then refuse to support a bill that would save generations of children. Do we only protect fetuses and then turn our backs on them once they are born?
