Letter: Gay adoption

March 12, 2014

If the local judge that ruled for gay adoption acted outside his scope of authority he should be summarily removed from office. The law as I understand is fairly clear. If the judge desires to change the law then let him use the allowed channels that we all have access to. A judge is not allowed to become a law unto himself. If this is the case, then I call upon our local legislative officials to immediately begin impeachment proceedings and swift removal from office. Whenever an official begins to act outside of the powers of his office, then at that point he becomes a menace to society and all good governance. This will lead to a breakdown of justice and order. This is the very definition of tyranny.

I call upon our elected officials to review this judge’s actions for possible removal. At the very least, let us remember this judge when it comes time to vote.
