Ada County Pet of the Week: Lucy the shorthair cat

March 11, 2014

Lucy, 10 months, is spayed female, orange and black, domestic shorthair cat. Lucy is a slender, long-bodied cat with an elegant persona. She was surrendered to the shelter by an owner that had too many cats to care for. Lucy is a well-socialized feline that loves a good back scratch and climbing up in your lap when it suits her. She is litter-box trained and would prefer life as a house cat. Lucy is proving to be accepting and friendly with a wide variety of felines. She'd likely do well in a home with a resident cat. Her tolerant and friendly personality means she'd likely fit well into a wide variety of homes if introduced properly to other animals and young children.

Lucy can be found in the Cat Colony Room (#22154079) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
