Steelheads’ Robinson again called up to AHL

STATESMAN STAFFMarch 10, 2014

BOISE — Josh Robinson was recalled from Idaho to Texas on Sunday, a chain-reaction move necessitated by Dallas Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen’s injury Saturday night. The difference this time is the Steelheads’ depth in net behind him. Idaho, which starts a four-game, five-day road trip Wednesday in Ontario, got rid of two backup goaltenders in a 10-day span — Josh Watson via waivers and Brad Phillips in a trade to South Carolina — leaving Pat Nagle as the only goalie on Idaho’s active roster. Robinson has played 14 games for Texas, earning a 5-6 record, and is 9-6-1 in 17 appearances with Idaho.
