Boise inmate who ran off captured

Shirleyanne Fisher was taken into custody at 7:20 a.m. Friday after arriving in downtown Boise on a bus from Salt Lake City.

Fisher, 27, walked away from the East Boise Community Work Center on Feb. 21. An officer discovered Fisher missing during an overnight check.

She was serving a two- to five-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance in Canyon County. She was originally scheduled to be released Aug. 31.

Fisher faces new charges related to her escape from the work center. She was booked into the Ada County Jail on two counts of escape.
