Food writer Guy Hand, who was the Idaho Statesman’s restaurant critic in 2009 and 2010, also is a videographer.

Current Statesman restaurant critic James Patrick Kelly reports that Hand recently was named a finalist for an International Association of Culinary Professionals video award.

“Making a Meal” quickly documents the culinary process at State & Lemp, which opened in Boise in October 2013. Check out the video below, and find out more in Kelly’s “Food Notes,” which will be published in Friday's Scene magazine inside the Statesman.
