Ada County Pet of the Week: Liona the Chihuahua mix

March 4, 2014

Liona, 2, is a spayed female, black and tan Chihuahua mix.

This darling little gal weighs about 12 pounds and is a gentle, affectionate house dog. She is mild-mannered and is very people-oriented. It doesn't appear that she knows many commands yet, but she enjoys food rewards (and takes them gently from your hand). She would learn quickly with positive reinforcement.

Liona does very well with other dogs and would likely do well with respectful, older children. She walks politely on the leash and would be a nice companion for strolls through the neighborhood. Do have an available lap that needs to be filled? Liona is up to the task! Meet her at the shelter today!

Liona can be found in kennel 405 (#22079344) at the Idaho Humane Society which is located at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
