Gas prices rise in Idaho, nation

Gas prices rose in Idaho by 18 cents in February to $3.31, according to AAA Idaho. That price was still 15 cents less than the state's $3.46 average in February 2013.

Nationwide, average gas prices increased 18 cents to $3.46 in February, down 29 cents from February 2013.

The Treasure Valley averaged the highest gas prices among Idaho metro areas.  Both Boise and Nampa had averages of $3.39 in February, above Coeur d'Alene ($3.10), Twin Falls ($3.21), Lewiston ($3.26), Pocatello ($3.27) and Idaho Falls ($3.28).

Idaho has the 15th lowest average gas price in the nation, AAA said.
