Canyon County Pet of the Week: Trax the bloodhound mix

February 25, 2014

Trax, 3, is a bloodhound and redbone coonhound blend that weighs 90 pounds. Trax is house-trained and is great with kids. He does not like cats and livestock. He has been in close proximity of other shelter dogs and has been well-behaved. Trax knows a number of commands. He also loves to fetch.

These dogs are considered the best trackers in the world and are joy to watch work. Trax is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.

Trax is in Large Dog Adoptions at the Canyon County Animal Shelter at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays. For information on other adoptable pets, log on at www.canyoncountyshelter.org.
