Letter: 'Add the Words'

February 23, 2014

I assume I missed the question asked of the governor at the Idaho Press Club, for I was amazed at Otter's statements, which imply that the only metric for adding-the-words is whether it would hurt the economy.

I would hope the governor and the Legislature are not so morally depraved as to believe this. Surely our state's elected leader is not so insensitive to a part of the citizenry that he would be indifferent to making remarks of such an offending nature. I would rather believe it was the content of the article that causes me to be incredulous that the governor could be so un-Christian and obtuse.
