Idaho Department of Correction asks for help locating woman who walked away from work center

February 21, 2014

Idaho Department of Correction officials are looking for a non-violent offender who walked away from the East Boise Community Work Center early Friday morning.

Shirleyanne Fisher, 27, was serving a two- to five-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance in Canyon County. She was scheduled to be released on Aug. 31 of this year.

DOC spokesman Jeff Ray said an officer discovered Fisher missing at 1 a.m. Officers searched the facility, did another count and declared her a walkaway at 2:30 a.m.

Fisher is described as white, 5-feet-6 and 115 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information about her is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.
