West Valley City, Utah - David deKastrozza scored his 10th goal of the season for Idaho (27-18-5) during a second-period power play to knot the score 1-1, but the Steelheads couldn't hold on in a 2-1 loss to Utah on Wednesday night. Mitch Wahl was credited with his ECHL-best 21st assist on the man-advantage. All the game's scoring came in the middle frame. Eight of the nine meetings between these two teams have been decided by two goals or less.

The Wranglers will spend $4 million building a 45,000-square-foot insulated fabric-shell structure containing a hockey rink and seating for 3,500 fans at the Plaza Hotel casino, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Wranglers President Billy Johnson said the rooftop venue at the Plaza, at Main and Fremont streets, is expected to be ready for the Wranglers to play their ECHL season in November.
