February 19, 2014

Damage to a power pole caused an electricity outage Wednesday afternoon in Nampa.

The outage took place near Powerline and Greenhurst roads, Idaho Power reported. A smoking pole was observed in the area, but company officials did not immediately know the cause.

The outage was reported about 2:10 p.m., with service restored to about two-thirds of those affected by 3 p.m.

Scattered outages were reported Wednesday evening in the Hillcrest and South Valley Heights areas of Boise. Crews were working to restore service to about 15 customers in the Hillcrest area by mid-evening.
