Idaho’s workforce paradox: Record employment, low participation

The headline Jan. 24 was good news indeed, and the facts supported it: Idaho’s unemployment rate fell in December to 5.7 percent. A year earlier, it was 6.3 percent. More Idahoans started new jobs than during any other month in 20 years.
