UPDATE: Boise police say lost woman identified, returned home

February 18, 2014

The woman had become lost while taking a walk and ended up in the Lake Harbor area off of State Street, police said.

She speaks a specific dialect of Farsi, which complicated initial efforts by law enforcement to determine who she was and where she lived. Police asked the public's help Tuesday to identify the woman, distributing photos of her.

A Lake Harbor resident called police at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon to check on the woman's welfare. Shortly after 5:30 p.m., police said the woman had safely returned home after her daughter called dispatch reporting her missing.
