February 17, 2014

Brock Montgomery's one-timer from the left wing gave Idaho a 3-2 victory at Utah on Monday afternoon.

Goaltender Pat Nagle stopped 33 shots as Idaho killed eight-of-nine shorthanded situations. Idaho moved into third place in the ECHL's Western Conference with the win. The Steelheads (27-17-5) are 7-1-1 in their last nine games.

Idaho got goals from David deKastrozza and Mitch Wahl before Montgomery broke a 2-2 tie with 9:41 left in the third period. Montgomery assisted on Wahl's third-period goal. Wahl returned the favor on the game winner, cleanly winning a face-off in Utah territory.

Nagle won his 17th game of the season.
