Boise State women top New Mexico in overtime

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Deanna Weaver and Yaiza Rodriguez Ortego combined for 57 points as the Broncos defeated the New Mexico Lobos 86-80 in overtime.

Weaver scored a career-high 33 points to keep the Broncos ahead most of the game, while Rodriguez Ortego scored a career-high 24, including 13 points in overtime to help secure the key Mountain West Conference road win. Boise State (14-9, 9-3) remained in sole possession of second place in the conference standings.

The Broncos led nearly the entire way until late in regulation.

The Broncos led 65-62 with 11 seconds remaining, but New Mexico drove the floor and hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
