Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State football staffer leaves for job at La. Tech

BOISE — Blake Baker, who was the director of player personnel, is the new safeties coach at Louisiana Tech. The director of player personnel is a non-coaching position that deals largely with on-campus recruiting. Baker was the safeties coach at Arkansas State last year, under new Boise State coach Bryan Harsin. Baker previously was a defensive graduate assistant at Texas, where he worked with new Louisiana Tech defensive coordinator Manny Diaz.

BSU GOLF: Sophomore Logan France and junior Ty Travis are the Mountain West men’s golfers of the week.

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: Sophomore Thomas Tenreiro has been named Mountain West player of the week.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Senior forward Chakala Carthen has been named the NAIA National Division II player of the week.
