Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho women win conference skiing event

McCALL — The C of I took four of the top seven spots and defeated No. 2 British Columbia to win a Northwest Collegiate Ski Conference qualifier at Brundage Mountain. Ellie Tansley finished third and led the way for the ninth-ranked Coyotes. Zach Shenk earned an individual win for the C of I men, who were second to Washington State.

BOISE STATE SOFTBALL: No. 8 Oregon blanked the Broncos 9-0 in five innings at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Boise State (1-4) also lost twice Saturday, 6-1 to N.C. State and 13-2 to Northwestern.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: Hawaii Pacific swept the Crusaders (0-4) on Saturday in Waipahu, Hawaii. NNU lost the opener 12-1 and the nightcap 3-2 in 11 innings.

NNU SOFTBALL: The Crusaders (4-5) lost 6-5 to Cal State Dominguez Hills and 5-2 to Azusa Pacific at the Desert Stinger Classic on Saturday in Las Vegas.
