Wrestlers battle for coveted rock

STATESMAN STAFFFebruary 7, 2014

The Boise School District’s four public high schools meet at 5 p.m. Friday in Borah’s old gymnasium for the 12th annual Grapple for the Granite.

The double-dual format city championship begins with Borah squaring off against Timberline, and Capital taking on Boise. The winners of those duals meet for the trophy, which is a 300-pound granite rock.

Borah has won three of the past four titles, and owns five overall. Capital has won the event four times, while Timberline and Boise each have one victory.
