Letter: Flashing yellow

February 7, 2014

What is the plan with these lights? Is it here to stay or is it a study? Either way, I vote to get rid of it. I have seen people block the intersection and run the red light with two others behind them. I have seen people pull out in front of oncoming traffic like it is their right of way. I have even been honked at because I felt I could not go. Does that extra few seconds make or break your day? I think the only thing that light is doing is giving, or will give, the body shops, lawyers and coroners business.

I would like to vote to get rid of it if this is a study, and even if it isn’t.
