Need a little art vacation? Take advantage of The Atlanta School, a new retreat in the small mountain town that focuses on art and architecture. Students can stay in historic cabins and work directly with instructors. Registration for workshops start this week.

• June 25-27: "Writing in the Pines" with poet Adrian Kien.

• June 29-July 3: "Small Projects" with artists Byron Folwell and Amy O'Brien.

• July 5-9: "Small Structures" with artists Byron Folwell and Amy O'Brien.

• July 11-13: "Solitude, Setting and Story" with writer Greg Hahn.
