Rigby's Jessika Jenson qualifies for Olympic semifinal

Rigby High graduate Jessika Jenson finished 15th in the qualifying round for the women's snowboard slopestlye event Thursday in Sochi, Russia.

The top eight competitors advanced directly to Sunday's final. The other 16 must compete in the semifinal round, which begins at 11:30 p.m. MT Saturday.

Jenson scored 34 points on her first run and 58.5 points on her second run. Results are based on the best of two runs.

The top score was 95.5.
