NORTHWEST NAZARENE SOFTBALL: The Crusaders (3-1) hit five home runs and swept a doubleheader against Menlo, 5-3 and 8-4, in Atherton, Calif.

BOISE STATE SOCCER: The Broncos signed seven players, including Timberline High defender Jenna Clubb, forward Dani Brown (Portland), midfielders Madi Campbell (Tualatin, Ore.) and Sarah Taylor (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), defenders Sierra Carrington (Edgewood, Wash.) and Jess Vogel (Riverside, Calif.), and goalkeeper Janelle Flores (Hesperia, Calif.).

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: Thomas Tenreiro is the Mountain West player of the week.

BSU SWIMMING AND DIVING: Brittany Aoyama is the MW swimmer of the week.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO TRACK AND FIELD: Austin Basterrechea is the NAIA national men’s indoor field athlete of the week.

IDAHO SOCCER: The Vandals signed nine players for 2014, including Ashley Engberg of Moscow High.
