Boise Young Professionals training series starts Wednesday

The Boise Young Professionals are the lead organizer for b-On Board, a training series teaching young professionals how to land spots on commissions and boards of businesses, government bodies and non-profits.

Boise Young Professionals is a Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce program. The Idaho Rotary Clubs is sponsoring the event, and the Idaho Nonprofit Center is helping organize.

The series starts  6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Andrus Center for Public Policy at 301 W. Capitol Blvd. in Boise.

The program will include prominent Boise leaders, including:

Æ Cecil Andrus, former Idaho Governor

Æ John Hess, Boise State Public Radio

Æ Alice Allen, Idaho Dance Theater

Æ Nora Carpenter, United Way of the Treasure Valley

Æ Richard Johnson, Family Advocates

Æ Moya Shatz, Idaho Wine Commission

The program is $50 for BYP members or Leadership Boise members and $75 for non-members. Register at boiseyp.org.
