Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State men’s tennis beats Arizona on road

TUCSON, Ariz. — The 44th-ranked Broncos (4-2) won their third straight match, defeating the Wildcats 5-2. Freshman Brendan McClain (No. 5 singles) earned his second match-clinching victory of the weekend with a straight-set win. Andy Bettles, Nathan Sereke, Thomas Tenreiro and Toby Mitchell also won for BSU.

BSU WOMEN’S TENNIS: The Broncos completed a weekend sweep by beating Seattle 7-0 at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. Sandy Vo won No. 1 singles and doubles matches for Boise State, and Megan LaLone had a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 5 singles.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO BASEBALL: The Coyotes opened the season with an 11-7, 7-1 sweep of Bethesda in Anaheim, Calif.
