Steelheads lose another close game in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Aces defeated Idaho 3-2 in a shootout that went seven rounds late Friday night. It was the sixth straight game between the two rivals to be decided by one goal. Brett Robinson and Tommy Grant scored goals for Idaho (10-15-5) in the second period, but Alaska quickly answered after each goal. Idaho goalie Pat Nagle turned away 40-of-42 shots. Alaska was trying for a three-game sweep late Saturday night. The game was still in progress at press time.
