    7 p.m. Feb. 3-5, Egyptian Theatre, 700 W. Main St., Boise. $18 general, $14 students and seniors, $48 for three-day pass. egyptiantheatre.net.

There's more to the Banff Film Festival than snow. If it involves adrenaline and gorgeous, high-elevation scenery, it's fair game for this event, which features more than two dozen short films. "Flow: The Elements of Freeride" is a mountain biker's dream. "The Questions We Ask" chronicles a man's journey across the Salish Sea from Vancouver to Victoria, B.C., on a stand-up paddleboard. And don't worry, there's lots of ski action, too. Just the short excerpt from the feature film "Into the Mind" will brutalize your senses.
