Steelheads head to Alaska without two top players

STATESMAN STAFFJanuary 29, 2014

BOISE - Idaho plays a three-game series against the Aces this week, starting at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, one day after coach Brad Ralph announced three roster moves.

Goaltender Pat Nagle (to Texas) and forward Austin Fyten (to Oklahoma City) have each been recalled to the American Hockey League. Nagle leads the Steelheads with 11 wins, and Fyten has nine goals in 15 games.

Also, Idaho has acquired goaltender Brad Phillips from the Elmira Jackals in exchange for future considerations. Phillips, a 2007 draft pick of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, has played for three ECHL teams this season.
