The Boise teen who was reported missing Monday night was found Tuesday morning.

Boise Police said the boy stayed at a friend's house and didn't spend the night outdoors. He showed up at school Tuesday morning.

The 17-year-old boy, who police say has medical issues, left his home in West Boise on Monday night. The boy, identified by police only as John, lives in the area of McMillan and Cloverdale roads. He left the home around 7:30 p.m.

He was described as 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He wears thin rimmed glasses. He was last seen wearing a BSU beanie, maroon pullover, black or blue jeans and blue Velcro sneakers.

An alert for the missing teen was put out on social media, including Boise Police's Facebook page and on Nextdoor.
