SAN JOSE, Calif. — Boise State freshmen Yaiza Rodriguez Ortego and Brooke Pahukoa scored 16 points apiece to lead the Broncos past San Jose State 90-69. Both freshmen went 4-for-4 from the 3-point line as Boise State tied the school record with 15 3-pointers. Seven Broncos nailed at least one shot from behind the arc. Lexie Der and Miquelle Askew also chipped in 15 points each as Boise State (10-8, 5-2 MW) won its fourth straight conference game for the first time. It’s the largest such streak since the 2007-08 team won 15 straight on its way to the WAC title. The Broncos won just four MW games last season.
