PacificSource health plan members in Idaho get premium extension

Haven't paid your January premium yet for a PacificSource health plan you signed up for through Idaho's health insurance exchange? You have a little more time.

The Oregon-based company said it will take payments through next Wednesday, Jan. 29, for health plans purchased through Your Health Idaho. The coverage will be backdated to Jan. 1.

A media representative said the company extended the deadline because of delays in enrollment through one of the health-insurance exchanges where PacificSource operates — but not the Idaho exchange.

Other insurers have announced premium deadline extensions as well, mainly because of early glitches in healthcare.gov enrollment.

There has been no extension announced for February's premiums, however.
