Zoo Boise's valentine to you: Free admission for 'Wild at Heart' day in February

January 21, 2014

Statesman archive/Darin Oswald: A week-old black-crested mangabey monkey elicited a chorus of "aahs" from Zoo Boise patrons in June of 2013. Betty, the mother, was introduced to the zoo last year to mate with Murphy the male monkey.

Zoo Boise is celebrating Valentine's Day a little early this year, with a "Wild at Heart" free admission day on Saturday Feb. 8.

Visitors are invited to bring Valentines for their favorite animals, and the zoo will offer themed activities all day. The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Zoo Boise is at Julia Davis Park, 700 S. Capitol Boulevard.
