Letter: Duck Dynasty

January 21, 2014

Reading Brad Cook’s letter concerning “Duck Dynasty” recently, I finally realized the fears people harbor revolving around this show and family. Many are threatened that perhaps the values portrayed — love of God, family and country — may rub off on society. Why would “anyone in their right mind” want to raise their children with such love and respect for parents and grandparents? God forbid! This is no way to raise a family. What we need is to emulate the Kardashians, Braxtons and shenanigans of Miley Cyrus’ twerking.

Given this New Year, let’s remain on this road of destruction of our country. Don’t rock the boat with any wholesome, religious, “right-wing” nuts.
