Letter: Bicyclists

January 20, 2014

Eagle and Ada County patrol officers need to enforce traffic laws on bicycle enthusiasts. Since I have moved up on Floating Feather I have seen some dangerous actions by our two-wheeling friends. Like riding four abreast on the road when they have a bike lane to use. Refusing to come to a stop at a stop light or sign and turning across traffic without any concern of motorists. We get told all the time to share the road. I totally agree. But this disregard for the law can no longer be ignored. Someone will get hurt or even worse, killed. Maybe a few citations will cure their ignorance of traffic rules.
