A 42-year-old man who was arrested at his Caldwell home Sunday is accused of stabbing two people at Vern's Tavern on 7th Avenue in Caldwell. Two men were transported to local hospitals, but no information was available on their conditions.

Noe Cardenas was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Police say Cardenas got into an argument with a 42-year-old Nampa man, and they got into a physical fight. Cardenas allegedly pulled a knife and cut the Nampa man.

A 40-year-old Nampa man who tried to stop the fight also was stabbed by Cardenas, police said. Cardenas fled the scene but police caught up with him at his home.
